You play as the Blonde Cats (on the black/grey squares).
Archimedes plays as the Grey Cats (on the black/grey squares).
The empty red squares are non-playable and feature a minimalist cat face silhouette.
🏆 Basic Checkers Rules
Movement: Normal pieces can only move forward diagonally, one square at a time, onto an empty dark grey square.
Captures (Jumping): If an opponent's piece is diagonal to yours, and the square behind them is empty, you must jump over them and capture their piece!
Forced Jumps: Capturing is mandatory. If you have an available jump, you cannot make a simple move. If multiple jumps are available, you can choose which one to perform.
Multi-Jumps: If a piece jumps and lands in a position where another jump is available (even in a different direction for kings), it must continue jumping.
Kings: When a piece reaches the opposite side of the board, it gets kinged (gets a cute crown!). Kings can move and jump both forward and backward.
Winning: Win by capturing all of Archimedes' pieces or blocking him so he has no legal moves left.
🐈 Archimedes the AI
Archimedes uses advanced mathematical logic for his moves and Gemini 2.5 to trash talk you based on the game status. Try not to let his high-intellect sarcasm distract you from your vectors!
